The Envelope Works operates independantly from any envelope manufacturer and has close relationships with numerous suppliers worldwide. Such independence allows us to offer a breadth of advice, free from contractual obligation to any individual manufacturer, whilst being able to offer solutions that meet the specific requirements of our clients.

We pride ourselves on the range of products we can offer and also on our flexible approach to delivering the most appropriate and cost effective solutions.

As you can see the theme of chess runs through our entire organisation and at The Envelope Works we want everyone to know that we approach envelopes in a strategic manner. Our Aim is to give our clients a solution that enables them to make their envelope budgets go further, whilst taking away the stresses and concerns regarding their envelope management, making sure at all times “The Envelope Works for you”.

When Printing Partners was first established in 1988, there were 3 big envelope manufacturers dominating Europe, one was located in the North, one in Central Europe and one in the South and we thought to ourselves at that time how on earth can we compete against companies as large as this.

At that time there was 157 privately owned envelope manufacturers across Europe, a mixture of all shapes and sizes and all with different skill sets and capabilities. We thought to ourselves, if we can put all this expertise and machinery together then we can become bigger and and more flexible than the power blocks, It was at this point “Printing Partners was born”.

Since 1988, we have visited each and every one of these companies and over the years many have been bought out or fallen victim of the economic climate throughout Europe, some just couldn’t produce to the very high standards of quality or service that we demand from each and every one of our suppliers and some just couldn’t compete on price.

This has now left us with 40 preferred suppliers spread right across the World, all with different skill sets and machinery but all sharing the same high levels of consistancy when it comes to price, quality, service and of course delivering your goods.

We have split our business up into five different sections, Flexo, Flat Sheet litho, Litho Overprint, Plain Stock and Specials (Boardbacks, Gusset, translucent, coloured envelopes, bangtails etc) and within each section we have several preferred suppliers all from different countries across Europe. This enables The Envelope Works to always offer our clients the very best price and tailored envelope solutions that Europe has to offer.
