Working with Printing Partners
Printing Partners was established in 1987 and now has the largest offset four colour print facility in Europe. Our warehouse carries around ten thousand pallets of printed and plain stock and the production plant now houses sixteen printing presses, of which seven of these are four colour presses.
Founder and Managing Director Dick Seegers was originally from the Tobacco industry and was commercially aware of how important brand imaging is, saying that you can always tell so much about people depending on what type of cigarettes they were smoking.
Being a strategist, Dick came up with the chess theme as that too was a game of strategy which is how Dick sees business.
The car park at the factory in Doetinchem to the east of Holland is a large Chess board, with every parking space being a black or white square. To further this theme, two sixty foot chess pieces, a king and a knight have been built and place at the front of the building with a further two thirty foot chess pieces, a rook and a castle being placed at the rear of the building.
These chess pieces have become somewhat synonymous throughout Europe, with the company being placed at a junction on a main road. It has become a well known landmark for all travellers alike.
